Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

@Adge

Are you thinking that the beetle might be vegetarian as well?

Organic insects?

Microscopic seedlings possibly would work

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Sorry @Sophia1  I must have written something wrong.  My husband died of a blood clot in April, though not related to the AZ vaccine.  He hadnt had his jab yet.  My brother developed blood clots 2 weeks after getting his AZ jab.  But thankfully he was treated for it and has recovered.  Phew.  It just all makes Piglet a little paranoid I guess.  And all the mixed messaging from the so called experts, and assorted politicians is not helping.  Nor is the fact that they are phasing out the AZ altogether from October.  It all adds to the considerable uncertainty around it all, and it all feeds into Piglets anxiety around it.  Sorry for the confusion, but thank you for your response.  🤗💕

Thanks @Oaktree .. really pleased to hear that you have had your first covid jab and no ill effects.  Good to hear.  Thanks also for your kind and understanding response in general.  🌸

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

I hope that I did not upset you further @Emelia8

Are you alright.

Let me know if you would like me to ask someone to check on you.

Do you have a health number on standby to ring?

Sophia

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

No, you havent upset me @Sophia1 ... all good. 🤗💕

And yes I do have the helpline numbers handy.  Piglet can now safely make those calls, now that she is home alone.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

@Emelia8

You did not confuse me at all I am constantly in a confused state these days.

Sorry to have to put you through explaining.

Actually I have been holding off the vaccine.

Then I thought about my mum who is 95 and has untreated issues.

I am only allowed to visit her in her last hours if I can get there in time.

The thing is the az you have to wait 3 months for second dosage.

I wonder if you might be considered under extenuating circumstances or whatever it is called.

I booked my AZ today actually.

I am now wondering whether to wait until  October as well.

I think we should both speak to our doctors and start off with. "now I want you to be totally honest with me when I ask you this " my doctor gets this look of dread over his face and I can feel that I am feeding his anxiety.

He loves it when my husband comes with me. Husband rephrases things is same language as him. He smiles a lot at my husband. Relieved to have him on board.

Lay it to bed for now and ring up and tell the reception that you need your doctor to ring you as you are too unwell to go out.

Speak soon or when you are up to it.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Well this particular version (Alter-Ego) of Horrace has always been a Vegetarian @Sophia1 & Yes I do eat Fish.

Back in the day (30 years ago) - No/ or few Restaurants had any Non-meat Options, other than Fish. So it was either "Eat Fish or go Hungry" (without any meal).

In recent years they've decided to call people who eat Fish (but not Meat) "Pescatarians" - Some Picky people have said to me "You're not a Vegetarian, you're a Pescatarian".

Back then (30 years ago) every Vegetarian I ever met - Did eat Fish.

So I'm sticking with Vegetarian.

Besides everyone has a Right/ Need to Define themselves - Not to be Defined & Labelled by other people.

As to Vegans - They simply did not exist, when I became Vegetarian.

Yet Vegans now tell me (very often) - That Vegetarian is "Not Good enough".

No Veganism for me (too Hard Core).

I'm a liberal-minded sort - That means I don't agree with either extreme.

I don't align with hard left or with hard right - I see good points in both sides.

Yet don't entirely agree with any ideology (either side).

Besides they Always insist on "Winning me Over" to their Point of View (their Side).

I have my own Camp (Beliefs) - So I don't want to be "Won Over" to someone's (usually Religious) View.

I can never understand Why/ How some poeple will not leave others to their own Views - Instead they Insist on "Converting them to theirs"....

Sorry - Horrace is a very "Philosophical Bat" - He has a Major in Philosophy, & a Sub-Major in Ethics.

Horrace (Adge)

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Understand totally @Emelia8 💜

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Not sure how much will fit on a Number Plate @Sophia1

"Tiger Express" sounds good to me - If it Fits....

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Oh dear @Adge

I have majors in philosophy ethics, psychiatry, life, wisdom parenting

I find some vegetarians annoying when they try to tell me that I should become a vegetarian.

I am more vegetarian than they are. They eat so much rubbish, and rarely do I see them eat anything that has grown from the ground.

The amount of salty and sugary food they comsume. They hardly exercise.

Not all vegetarians are this way just several whom I know.

Then there are a couple of vegans in the mix who scoff down large slabs of pizza, swished down with coke. Cake, sweets, salted savoury overload and tell me that I should eat healthily.

I actually don't eat much meat more so because my husband loves it so have a very small serve sometimes just vegetables. Same with poultry. I do love seafood though.

I agree with you totally about labelling.

I think those people feel insecure about their own decisions and try to justify them by projecting the guilt.

So Horrace is a vegetarian bat who likes fish burgers, not real fish then ??? haha

uhh must turn this off been on here far too long today husband will be sulking.

Toodle loo
