Piglet is feeling very down this afternoon. Piglet is feeling hopeless and has allowed insecurities and anxiety to get the better of them.
Piglet had booked an appointment to have the COVID jab. Piglet's Dr has been pressing Piglet to get the jab because of underlying conditions putting Piglet at high risk. Piglet has been eligible since early in the rollout to get the vaccine. But Piglet is over 60 and can only have the AZ jab. And that makes poor Piglet very anxious. Piglet's partner died only a couple of months ago of a blood clot and Piglets brother developed blood clots 2 weeks after having his AZ jab. Piglet is worried about the AZ jab, because Piglet is alone now and nobody is around to help or even know if Piglet gets really sick.
Piglet wants to do the right thing ... for themself, for their family and friends and for the community. Therefore a nervous Piglet booked an appointment online on the weekend, for a jab at their local hospital tomorrow.
But this afternoon ... Piglet rang and cancelled that appointment, because anxiety became too much. If Piglet could have the Pfizer jab, Piglet would have had it months ago. But the conerns around the AZ jab got too much for Piglet.
Now Piglet feels silly and guilty for not doing the right thing. Piglet is worried that this means they will not be able to go out and play with the forrest friends here. It means Piglet cannot go and do the volunteer work that they want to get back into doing. To volunteer in aged care homes you must have had the jab, and rightly so.
So this means Piglet is isolating themself more and more by not having the jab. What is Piglet to do? Piglet is even worried about getting too close to the bat friends here ... they spread virus, dont they? Piglet worries about literally everything! Anxiety is a curse for poor silly Piglet.
So my forrest friends ... I know you want me to come and play with you all, and I really would love to do so ... but Piglet is not in a good mindset right now. So Piglet will continue to hide.

How hard for you to have to deal with this issue at this time on top of everything else.
Please do not put any expectations on yourself at present.
Anxiety is already with you and is not worth trying to be hard on yourself for feeling anxious over these dreadful vaccines that I believe as usual media has been at play.
Nevertheless, with so much going on around the world. Again we hear mainly about the events via media.
There are countless people who are very anxious about the vaccine due to all the different reasonings offered.
There is one doctor who speaks about the whole issue very sensibly and intelligently.
There are so many who are causing more alarm.
There are always some people who have reactions to medications and these reactions vary per person.
It is impossible to categorically state what is the reality of risk as each and everyone of us are different to start with.
At the same time, I to understand your concern due to the timing and the loss of your husband and brother also.
Is your doctor aware that your brother died due to a blood clot?
I do not want to advise you as it is not my place to do so.
I am aware that you have health issues so are very vulnerable.
I do wonder if you would be as anxious if you had not gone through loss of lives within such a short period of time. At the same time, have an unwell pet whom you love dearly.
Your own health and treatment provoking extreme anxiety for someone already on overload.
You can ask yourself that question if it might help taking some of the pieces away from the anxiety muddle, seeing what is left.
If I was going through all of the above, I would talk to my doctor if I trust my doctor and know that my doctor will be totally honest with me.
I think that your doctor might weigh up, should you catch covid, survival chance.....
should you have vaccine survival chance...
Talk to your doctor and if you do feel totally safe with him or her put the decision in their hands for you.
Tell them , they should already know everything that you are and have been through. Although they might not know how long you have been dealing with anxiety. This changes the equation also.
Which bit of anxiety belongs to which part of your story.
I hope this does not give you a migraine or add more anxiety.
If you start to feel anxious, seriously stop reading.
