Hi guys,

Sorry I haven’t been very active for a few days. I have been busy! My hubby had a full knee replacement on Tuesday. Leading up to it I was quite worried and stressed because his blood pressure tends to crash under a general anaesthetic. The surgery itself went well and it lasted 2 1/2 hours. His blood pressure did play up and as a result he spent 4 hours in recovery instead of the planned 20 minutes. Since then he has been a star patient and the Nurses are very happy with him. His bandage looks great, no signs of seepage or infection. His blood pressure is still all over the place but we are expecting him to be discharged tomorrow afternoon. I am getting up early tomorrow morning to cook beef casserole in the slow cooker for him. I will serve that with some crusty bread. It should make a nice change from hospital food. Then on Saturday I will turn the casserole into curry to be served with rice. Sunday, I am experimenting with roast pork and my son and his girlfriend are coming over for that. Then next week sometime I am making beef satay with rice. I am looking forward to doing some cooking. As I am on Lite n’ Easy I haven’t been cooking lately. Looking forward to spoiling hubby. He usually cooks for himself. Anyway all is good in the hood!
