@Sophia1 @Meggle @Appleblossom @NatureLover @Emelia8 @Ripples @Exoplanet @Snowie @Shaz51 @Adge @Flax @Anastasia @Lilaca

Hello all

I have been amused and pleased that Henry Rush isn't to be eaten by Horrace (@Adge) the Post-Bat, though Eeyore only said to refrain, so I'm still not certain about how assured I might be, that in a slip of the tongue, I might not become Horrace's dinner. Though I should probably be reassured that Horrace has now self-declared to being a carnivorous Fish Bat. And then I read that Horrace had said that the guilt feelings and prospect of indigestion would mean that Henry Rush would be perfectly safe. I am also pleased that Horrace has been able to secure the 1st vaccination.

I like Eeyore's (@Meggle) description of the outcome of her vaccination experience as being “Very anti-climactic”. Not sure what would have to have happened to have made it even,”somewhat climactic”.

That uncertainty about “fitting in”. I guess that is likely to be a reflection of Eeyore's character coming through. We all have attributes and it's like a jigsaw puzzle, of which we are each a piece. Individually shaped and coloured to fit into our own specific location, since we are each unique, individual and special in our own right. Without each piece in it's own special place, the puzzle can never be complete. The more time we spend worrying and looking for our place, the longer it takes to complete the puzzle.

I have enjoyed the fact that Eeyore has also shown an aptitude for solving technical issues like colour selection and producing links in the text. No sooner have the words “HenryX's explanation” been presented by her finger tips to the keyboard, than within the wave of Ariadne 's wand the answer appears. Not by Henry, but by Eeyore. When people are encouraged to expand their knowledge and consequently, benefits from the site, then I am very pleased.

As I am also, that Eeyore is enjoying the story-lines and activity on this thread and the “Group Fiction Writing Thread”, among others.

I love the way that Tigger (@Sophia1) presents (her) information, assurances, suggestions and reflections. With lovely observations about the individuals and the characters. Your approach is refreshing and, although, by (her) own admission, is somewhat scattered and chaotic at times, always comes through as thoughtful and sincere.

Sooty (@Flax) , the French-Italian cat is a very interesting character. Here, I got mixed up, because I thought that a reference to mercurial was about the story. But no! It was a self reflection by Sooty. So, in line with so many admonitions, I will not apologise, but hope it will be accepted as an “honest mistake”. And Thank You for your various comments during the story. Appreciation also goes to Sooty for the introduction of the character of Ariadne, the lovely fairy – an interesting combination – black cat and fairy.

Kanga (@NatureLover) was a question mark because, although I was aware that @NatureLover had that character, there is actually a pseudonym on site who is @Kanga  and it was by this pseudonym against which I had placed the question marks.

It is certainly not just Piglet (@Emelia8) who can feel “silly and guilty for not doing the right thing”. Or for any reason for that matter. Before I came into the story this afternoon, I was trying to write, in prose, about my own issues and concerns, actually in terms of the story-line. Since I have already prepared that detail, I shall include it with this message.

Henry Rush has an appointment with the doctor on Wednesday, so will discuss the antivirus-vax then. It is over two weeks past since flu-vax, so ok in that regard. Henry is 70 and had a series of vaccinations for planned travel to Cambodia for an English language (ESL) teaching course, early in 2020.

The vaccinations included Fluzone (high dose), Fluad, Hepatitis A & B (x3 shots), Rabies (x3 shots) Rubella (MMR), Typhoid, and Pneumovax. He had no significant reaction to any of those. Also had the check for tuberculosis.

He doesn't think the covid-vax will be much different, and side issues no more or less likely in the whole scheme of things. After all of that, in terms of probability, he is more likely to get run over by a motorbike, or other such incident, than a bad reaction to a vaccination.

He may possibly need to have some, or all of those again, if he ever decides to proceed with the Cambodia plans, when the virus issue settles down. Likely to be two years before that would be possible, and with personal capacity diminishing ???. However, he'll make decisions when the options are again available.

Despite a very pleasant day yesterday, he, like a number of other people, seem to have hit a bit of a wall in terms of the way he has been feeling over the last week or so. It may be a matter of facing issues in counselling discussions and, or sharing details with others about theirs and his situations, demeanour, responses and reactions, past and recent, on the forum. And simply dealing with what is in front of him ('on the plate') at the present time. Personal limitations and the need for exercise, in spite of physical pain, in his efforts to improve his capacity, combined with winter cold! He has also had a cold, which is probably also affecting his feelings and physical responses.

His head just feels full and uncomfortable.

The question has been raised before,

Is it worth going through the process of dealing with the past?”

On the other hand he is aware that recollections and responses that have become conditioned are still affecting him on a day to day basis, or are simply becoming less dormant, since the last repacking. He says "still affecting him"; since it is likely that we have to review the work that we do in addressing such issues, from time to time. Unless we were to become another person, he is inclined to believe that we can only send them into dormancy or latency, but need to review their quarantine from time to time. So it then becomes a case of:

Can he afford not to deal with and address these self-conditioned reactions, responses and issues, if they are still active, or becoming less dormant?”

The likely outcome will be an improvement in his quality of life, for a short term cost or investment of psychological pain.” He has also seen the outcomes and results when people haven't dealt with their “demons”. Substance abuse, socially acceptable and legal or otherwise. Sometimes, we see just a gradual withdrawal from social contact, and then someone says, “Did you know that.....” However he laughs when a medical questionnaire has the question "How many drinks do you have in a week?" Five a year - not a problem!

In a sense, dealing with psychological issues can, to some degree, be compared to the vaccination issue, where, hypothetically he might ask,

Do I want to have the vaccination, or do I want to take my chances, knowing that if i am among the few un-vaccinated, I may be at even more risk?”

Human nature causes us to avoid pain, and yet we know logically that pain is part of the process of birth, development and recovery. (Of course he is aware that only half of us have the opportunity to experience the personal pain and joy of birth) The last two of those are the ones in which we all have choices to make. As we grow, we become increasingly responsible for our own development. Recovery, physical and psychological, is most often our own responsibility, whatever the source of our original pain. And recovery often involves some sort of pain.

Henry is aware that this thread has a lovely, whimsical feel, and he, like others, has enjoyed reading and participating in his own mind, even though he may not have been very active in the progress of the story. At the same time he recognises, that there is a counter-point or juxtaposition between that whimsy, and the reality from which he will sometimes endeavour to escape, or, perhaps try to develop a new, better type of reality.

With Very Best Wishes

to All

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear Forest Friends,

I was not aware that we also had a username on the forums called "Kanga" - thanks for that information, @HenryX .

@Oaktree  to my view you definitely fit in here to the forums and are a lovely member. 🙂

@Adge  you've given me several laughs regarding eating Henry Rush, etc 😄

Kanga checks on Horrace this morning and he tells her that he is feeling quite a bit better. This may be to do with the fish burger and the fact that no beetles were eaten last night. Roo jumps up and down in delight at the fact that Horrace is feeling a bit better. Kanga spies a toaster in the corner of the kitchen, and starts toasting crumpets for all the gang. She hasn't forgotten the sugar water for Little Bee, or the fairy bread for the silver fairy. Sooty has eaten all the cream and is lying stretched out on a small armchair. Eeyore has discovered thistles growing in a corner of Tigger's secret garden, so is happily munching them. Kanga is not sure what Henry Rush likes to eat, but has carries him outside to the garden to choose what he likes.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Thank you @HenryX for a response that was carefully thought through.

Time taken on presenting clearly shown.

You also responded to different friends of the merry troupe with kind comments on your observations.

(wonderful as clearly indicates that you are reading and following the thread.) Sophia feels happy about this.

Your trip to Cambodia coming to a sudden halt would have been so disappointing, I can only imagine after going through being vaccinated for everything under the sun. Valid reasons.

I also liked the way you compared the numerous kinds of vaccines and risk along with the current questionable vaccines available to  varying aged group people.

As I mentioned before, media has a lot to answer for yet again.

Self questioning is an outcome of therapy and is part of the work in assisting discovering more about yourself.

The depth that one goes to in therapy measures the intensity of feelings rising to the surface.

Long term patterned thinking can be changed if the person is prepared to be open to change.

Some people can just not cope with change. I  am not inferring that this is the case for you.

It will take ongoing work and acceptance of the new.

Good luck.

I am sorry to hear about your pain. Physical pain further exasperates mental pain. In some cases the mental pain is there to begin with hence the increase in symptoms. In other cases the physical pain brings on mental pain. A vicious circle.

Movement very important yes.

I hope that we hear more about Henry Rush. Dear Henry Rush, your merry troupe of friends would love to have you join in on their adventures in your own style.

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Hello dear friends.

I have been carefully thinking of my offerings for the next part of the story from my perspective.

Life of course interrupts; tasks to be done; calls to be made; movement and exercise in between. Meals need to be remembered.

How impudent of life to interrupt this space.

I received another unauthenticated ticket thingy. I don't even read the red alert box anymore as have now received so many.

I remembered @HenryX  advising me  that this occurs when taking too long in posting. Haha well that describes me.

Hence I find a ticket when I return to continue.

This time, however, I copied what I had already written which was quite a large amount and now will be able to paste into a new window.

Thank you Henry Rush, our clever beetle.

I will now end this post and return to my story, hopefully still in holding bay waiting to be pasted.

Very interesting and love the fact that all of these years later the old bluestone bridge draws a choir to sing beneath.

The acoustics would be quite wonderful with the water nearby as well.

Wonder what the platypus was thinking?

Hmm we could create a space for a platypus as our numbers are decreasing.

Trolls fascinating also. They should be honoured that the trolls allowed them to enter let alone pass through when finished.

Lovely to find more of our story.

Thank you so much @NatureLover

Dear Friends of the one hundred acre forest

An update for you all on where some are and some are not.......................

@Oaktree

Eeyore was upset and self questioning himself.

Please trust your instincts and come back to play Tigger said out loud to himself (Tigger believed by speaking out loud, the powers that exist within and beyond the universe, would enable the person to whom the comment was addressed, in this case Eeyore, to hear what was said.)

White Rabbit was some time ago witnessed digging himself a very deep rabbit hole and disappearing down it.

Question:: Was White Rabbit constantly referring to his pocket watch?  If this is the case the answer is that White Rabbit is in the wrong story. Hence he has disappeared.

Owl has now flown the coop. Owl has given a handwritten valid reason which has been accepted by the board of directors not yet named.

Applications for a position on the board are now open.

Please refer to our efficient organisers,  @Oaktree and @HenryX ; @NatureLover

Little Bee, also appears to be needed elsewhere and has moved on. Though not stated in writing, reasons are accepted knowing her circumstances and freedom of choice of course.

Gum nut has been noticed and is happily trying to encourage, wake up some, to join in on  the fun.

Lovely story about a beautiful bluestone bridge...............thank you @Appleblossom for giving the letter writing turning into an ongoing story a different touch. Beautiful.

Christopher Robin has returned @Shaz51  and all have been informed to welcome her back.

Roo is still referred to by our lovely Kanga @NatureLover even though Roo does not seem to be present anymore.

Aloysius has been very quiet or perhaps he was not being paid attention to so has been sulking.

I did read that he delivered a card from Owl to Horrace. Or have I already referred to that. I dare not look back as I will probably end up with another red box alert about mismatched ticket thingys.

Beetle has written a letter, taking a considerable amount of time thinking about what to say. Thank you Henry Rush @HenryX

Horrace appears to be in fine form....

I wonder what else was in the fish burger. He was definitely making a statement about his choice of food, defying anyone to question his choice of food. @Adge

The multi-lingual sleek black cat with green eyes in company with a long silver haired fairy with wings that sparkled. This fairy was dressed in a versace gown matched with prada boots possibly with a handbag accessory made by Gucci. Still waiting on confirmation about that fact. Said angel has also been heard to speak or recite in Latin.

@Flax

The smaller group of friends were so happy to have their Christopher Robin back but were missing their cuddly Winnie the Pooh Bear.

How could she leave us all of this time on our own, they thought individually, each with their own thought wording.

Now Tigger, meanwhile had mentioned about his new extra shiny, special edition, very fast, very sleek , super duper motor bike.

There actually was a lead from the end of that letter.

@Adge Horrace wins the prize for noticing and offering an answer to what the number plate might say..

Whilst we appreciate your efforts and your letter is very important to us, at this time we have to advise that your answer has been considered closely, however is

wrong

Does that sound familiar appreciating efforts?

Cannot get rid of the colour again.

Here we go around the mulberry bush again......

What his band of fewer friends did not know was that the secret hut in the secret garden which Tigger was not ready to tell his friends about, was not the hut that his friends had found. That was an additional hut as a camouflage.

Tigger's secret hut which led to something far greater and magnificent than any of them had ever seen could only be entered by using a secret password....

Tigger would love to have everyone gather together in front of the tree in the one hundred acre forest so that they might have a discussion. Please reply to Tigger if able to attend the meeting as in virtual meeting in virtual letters.

Tigger

ps Piglet made an appearance to let us know how she was feeling. We will allow her as long as she needs of course as Piglet is so very important to all of us. We are sending some flowers to let you know that we are thinking of you with love. A card will be sent around to be signed. Eventually this will hopefully be delivered by Horace our apprentice post bat whom I believe has achieved a diploma in the course of posting.

🙏🏍

Cannot find the flowers 😣😫😒😞😟

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Well the copy and paste scenario to outwit the mismatched ticket thingy has not worked so Tigger needs to go back to the previous post and edit.

Apologies in advance.

Hello to Everyone

@Emelia8 @Adge @Meggle @NatureLover @Sophia1 @Anastasia @Flax @Exoplanet @Appleblossom @Lilaca @Snowie @Ripples

Henry Rush makes the suggestion to Tigger that, to come out of colour, back to black script, we do the reverse of getting into a colour. When you want to change to black from colour, go to the “Text Colour” panel and select black. Henry often checks to see if a colour is right and changes for deeper or lighter, or another colour in this way.

By highlighting a section of text, with the left-mouse button, and then selecting the desired colour, a complete section of text can be coloured. You do then have to re-select the next colour or black, as desired, for what you want to then continue writing.

When preparing a message, in the Apache OpenOfficeWriter that he uses, before “Copy and Paste” into the “Reply” box. Henry doesn't open the reply box until he has proof-read the message and is ready to do the transfer by “Copy and Paste”. It is the “Reply” box that times-out, rather than the script of the message.

Best Wishes

@HenryX Rush

Re: Writing and receiving letters via virtual post

Dear Friend @HenryX Rush

Woo hoo I managed to get your friend name green.

Now I will try the instruction on how to get out of colour.

Fingers crossed.

Woo hoo

This is wonderful, thank you so much.

I work and learn and actually have more interesting conversations in reality with one to one basis.

The Apache writer I might leave alone as prefer not to download anything to desktop pc.

Husband is administrator and dreads it when he sees me pointing my finger at anything technological.

This includes far too many remote controls.
