I find it hard that I even fit @Cuddlebear. I’m asexual so it’s not that same as others experiences. So I’m not sure I belong. @Jynx

@MissinTooth It’s OK not to know your sexuality and to be on a journey of discovery. In my own journey I thought I was bi sexual but in fact I am a lesbian. For a long time I felt I had to pretend to be straight because homophobia. This has caused me a lot of trauma in the past. It took a long time to discover my own sexuality and then even more time to tell anyone at all.
sometimes forums like this can help us further figure stuff out simply by sharing our feelings, thoughts and experiences.
Whatever place a person is in their journey they are a valued and loved part of our community. Sexuality is both fluid and deeply personal. It can even change over time. It’s something very unique to each of us.
It’s beautiful to hear as an educator that you are trying to help students and recognising students who don’t conform to gender binary. This is so important for young people. I’m sorry re Catholic education and feeling judged. It’s a real hard place to be in when we all need to make a living to survive.
That was a beautiful dream you had. Dreams can be awesome!

@Captain24 I think that asexuals do fit in. Being Queer is so much more than just actual sex or sexual attraction. I want you to know that you are welcome and that you belong.

What do you think the A in LGBTQAI+ stands for hun?
LOL
(Okay fair enough some people think it stands for Allies but it doesn't, it stands for asexuality!!)

@Jynx I'm the B in LGBTQAI+ 😊. Or as I like to say, I swing both ways 😂.
Thinking though and I'm not really sure but as time has gone on and having many bad experiences with the male partners I've had that i may just be the L now 🤔.
I'm still trying to work out who or what I am really, I mean other than just being crazy 😂

@Till23 sure does!! Questioning very welcome, as is general 'queerness' (I have friends who are mostly straight and cis who happily identify as queer, often because their values do resonate quite deeply and they just seem to fit into the space lol)

Oh my stars these responses got me all shook up with warm fuzzies!! Hehe ty for sharing everyone
@MissinTooth proud of you for sharing hun, I know it's been on your mind and I know it would have been tough!! Sounds to me like you are in a space of soft self-discovery - i.e. not rushing to slap labels on yourself, just trying to feel things out and see what makes sense and what doesn't.
Are you mostly questioning sexuality or gender too? Both at once is A LOT and can definitely give one a very shaken sense of self! Always happy to be a sound board and judgement free ear to listen!
@Appleblossom oooh would love to hear more on your experiences w the Mad Pride movement!!
I wanna respond to everyone individually but alas, I am only one human, so just sending you all OODLES of love!!

good point @Till23
@Captain24 I have explored the asexual… in more mystical..nun like ways… so I found it wonderful that more people are openly talking about it….these days
Maybe that would be the aspect I would most identify with… I also like gender fluid… and don’t feel the need to pin it or myself down… I feel we all have shifting experiences, in our inner world and from our separate relationships with each of our parents, to our interests and the whole range of interpersonal feelings and situations we encounter.
for me it is also mixed up with the spiritual… or the ethical… the.. all of me…which is a bit ethereal….or soulful…
