I remember the facilitator sharing that conflict is a VERY VERY common scenario and that's why it's so so important as part of any training. @Oaktree
When I was completing my masters, conflict was an ENTIRE unit. So I learnt a lot from that and it's really helped my practice.
Is your TAFE course 1 year?

Did I ever tell you I'm enrolled in a counselling course specialising in supporting Australia's First Nations people @Oaktree ?
I've parked it aside for 2 years or so, but I want to get back to it to finish it. I was halfway through.

Yes it’s only 12 months. I finish in early December. I am doing really well. Definitely right at the top of my class. I get all my assignments in early and get good feedback. There are some people in my class who are still struggling to get their assignments in and they were due a month ago. I am glad I don’t have that kind of stress.

That counselling course sounds interesting. I think that’s great. It should be really helpful to you. It will also look great on your resume.

Hi @tyme @Oaktree , I have been thinking of you both. I am considering self employment. It's daunting and a different type of stress. I have done it before but getting things off the ground to start again is scary in many ways especially financially. Loved reading about your work and artistic endeavours for both of you.

@tyme I accidentally pressed on a message for the moderator to flag. Please disregard that. Sorry!!

Hi @L-B
I can imagine that self employment would be very stressful especially while you are trying to get it started up. Eventually though it will probably be better than putting up with co-workers

How is your new role going anyway (if you feel like sharing) @L-B .
Depending on what self-employment you are looking for, you may need to start while you have something else as income. That is, while you have a job, you start working on starting your own business as opposed to stopping work altogether and starting your business.
This is just from my own experiences. I hold a job with paid salary and use self-employment as a side thing - only because I want the flexibility of saying when I want work and when I need a break. I'm mindful that if I solely have my own employment, then if I get sick or need a day off, then I don't get income.
For example, earlier, I was sick for about a month. At least I still got paid...
But yes, there are also a lot of pros to self-employment

Hey @tyme @Oaktree @The role I've been in is, as I might have mentioned, tense and difficult with a staff member..I have been working already on getting a business started as it seems to be the best option. I have been saving a little to do this as well. I'm scared and I seem to be scared a great deal of the time.
