I lost a lot of weight in the medical hospital @Till23 then I guess I gained weight when my psych meds were temporarily increased. Now I'm adjusting as my physical capacity should be better now I've got the surgery out of the way after having waited for it for a long time. So a number of factors. I'm trying to re-establish a new normal and some sort of routine. It's still a work in progress as it's only in the last week I've been allowed back to core strengthening and resistance training and I'm sore as the scar tissue is challenged. Walking hasn't been as problematic and I've been back on track with it for several weeks.
Just saying it's meds is a bit simplistic when I've been medicated for 40 years.

@Dimity do you think the weight changes could be due to medications? One of the lovely side effects of MH medications

That's very understandable @Shaz51 . Do they say anything about exercise and osteoporosis? It's such a juggling act for you I don't know how you keep all the balls in the air!
I was talking to my sister today about trip hazards as she needs to be careful of falls. I do too with my eyesight. As you've said so much health advice to consider! But talking about it helps I think.

I have been on meds for a long time like decades @Dimity but some meds cause more of a weight gain, as can increasing dose. But yes, you have had the added complication of surgery, which I had forgotten at the time of post. I'm glad you've been able to increase your exercise capacity. As you say slow and steady is the way to go, you don't want to injure yourself.

I know @Shaz51 it's very difficult to balance, can you see a physiotherapist at the hopsital to get appropriate exercise program.
