@Oaktree thanks for the suggestion, I'll look it up. I'm thinking of joining Shoulder to Shoulder which is a collaboration between SANE and Open Arms, the Veteran Affairs provider of counselling for families of veterans. My dad is a Vietnam Vet and I have used Open Arms counselling previously.
A huge problem for me also is motivation. As in I have none. It has become worse over the last 12 months and I am unsure why but at one stage I was only washing my hair once a week when I'd normally wash it 3 times a week. I lost interest in cooking which I love and none of my normal hobbies held any interest. It's slowly coming back and I am thinking about maybe starting a diamond painting.
Thanks so much, I feel better just knowing that there are other people who understand and don't judge xoxo

Hey @Oaktree ,
Feel free to take @ENKELI over to Shoulder to Shoulder. It's be good to get more people into that space to share their experiences either in the army or being family members of those in the army.
You use the same forums login @ENKELI
You can go to https://saneforums.org/t5/custom/page/page-id/Spaces and then pick the Shoulder to Shoulder space you are interested in.

Sorry I haven't been around the last couple of days.
My cat has been sick and has spent 2 days at the vet getting IV fluids and antibiotics.
We are hoping that she will be ok but we won't really know for 2 weeks. We will take her back for more pathology. Until then she is on 2 different kinds of antibiotics. Hopefully that will all work and she will be back to her old self soon.

Oh dear @Oaktree . I'm sorry to hear about your cat! I hope your cat will be okay.
How are you holding up? It sounds pretty stressful.

I have been really worried and it has also been expensive. I am just glad that I have pet insurance which covered 60% of the cost. The bill was just over $1800

Wow... that's so expensive to fork out @Oaktree .
I'm guessing pet insurance in itself is expensive too. I can see why you have been so worried. I hope you have people to support you at this time.
We're here for you.

Thanks @tyme
It’s scary when a beloved family member is so sick. She seems a lot better today. I just hope her pathology looks better when we get it rechecked
